Qualifications

This position is OPEN UNTIL FILLED and may be extended or closed prior to the current closing date. Applications will be reviewed every two weeks; the first cut-off date for applications is 10 business days from the opening date and every two weeks thereafter. Applicants with 10-point Veterans' Preference who submit a complete application after each two week cut-off date, but before the List of Eligibles is issued, will be considered and referred on the List, if qualified.

For GS-7 grade level: Applicants must have (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-6) in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: making small business or government purchases; conducting physical inventories, adjusting inventory and maintaining inventory; providing customer service to meet supply demands; and processing receiving reports.

All qualification requirements must be met by the date of application.

Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the date of application.

Education

As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions in the GS-2005 series; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
