**Description**
**Job Summary**
The Support Services Assistant supports the Director of Engineering & Construction, the Director of Environmental Services, the Director, Materials Management and their departments. Supports the smooth operation of these areas by performing a variety of administrative and customer service responsibilities such as support center coverage, work order system administration, document creation, reporting and record keeping, purchasing duties, scheduling and calendar coordination, payroll preparation, and travel arrangements.
**Minimum Qualifications**
**Education**
Associates Degree preferred (business, administrative, or secretarial field). High school diploma required.
**Licensure/**
**Certification**
Business, Administrative or AIA related certifications are a plus.
**Experience**
Minimum one year in an office, administrative or customer service role required.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Ability to prepare professional and grammatically correct documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and able to learn new software rapidly.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
