Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Support Services Specialist. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: Sacramento, California Responsibilities Serves as a specialist responsible for the coordination, implementation, and oversight of a wide range of activities associated with the distribution, storage, retrieval, and disposition of electronic records. Serves as the point of contact for document production for litigations and subpoenas in the California Great Basin Region. Assists the Branch Chief with planning, coordinating, implementing, and compliance of records management procedural requirements throughout the Region. Research central file documents to provide important background or statistical information relevant to policy and programming issues. Conducts annual and periodic review of the files maintained in decentralized file stations throughout the Region. Maintains and reviews records management training for the Region. Screens centralized and decentralized files to identify and withdraw record, non-record, and reference materials for disposal actions on a regular basis. To qualify at the GS-06, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-05 level in federal service having demonstrated experience in: Assisting in initial set up of decentralized file stations and provides screening, classifying, and disposition assistance to decentralized file stations and field offices; responds to all inquiries from staff regarding records management requirements. OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled. For some positions in this series graduate education may not provide the knowledge and skills. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages. To qualify at the GS-07, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 level in federal service having demonstrated experience in: knowledge of rules, guidelines, regulations, and precedents relating to records management and disposition procedures with familiarity in various records management systems; collecting and analyzing of information relating to records, sufficient to interpret and apply regulatory and procedural requirements to process unusually difficult and complicated transactions. OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled. For some positions in this series graduate education may not provide the knowledge and skills. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. [Note: Remove the words such as that identified in Education above if the position you are filling does not require education in specific fields found in an Individual Occupational Requirement.] Superior Academic Achievement is based on: (1) Class Standing - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses; OR (2) Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.) - Applicants must have a grade-point average of either (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B+ or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.; OR (3) Honor Society Membership - Applicants may be considered eligible based on membership in one of the approved national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies ( OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
