a Christ-centered church committed to live by FAITH, be a voice of HOPE, and be known by LOVE Job Position - Support Specialist, Connections Ministry : (Position Description - full-time, hourly, non-exempt, administrative, and at-will) Location-Oklahoma City Scope of Position The Support Specialist will be responsible for providing hospitality in relation to all OKC Front Office activities outlined below. In addition, support will be provided to the OKC Location in various short term and long-term projects and initiatives. Organizational Relationships Reports to the Location Support Director, OKC. This position will work collaboratively and interact regularly with various vendors and CCC staff across the various departments, ministries and campuses as well as with partners of Crossings to accomplish the goals and mission of Crossings. Work Schedule This position is a full-time position. The work week at Crossings is Monday - Sunday. Typical work hours will be - Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with rotating Sundays 8 am - 12 pm. Actual days and hours of work are subject to event schedules as well as department and Church needs which may require additional days and hours beyond or different from your typical work week. Qualifications Exceptional people skills - at ease greeting and directing guests Ability and experience to comfortably interact with others with a hospitable attitude Emotional maturity that would lend to skilled inter-relational communications Possess a passion for ministry and helping people find and follow Jesus Efficient time management in a fast-paced environment, with consistent and accurate management of multiple detailed task demands to completion or maintenance Highly motivated, with exceptional attention to detail Ability to be flexible, receive direction and on-the-job coaching Offering positive office interaction while remaining on task and upholding office protocol Ability to work with and maintain confidential information Routinely exposed to, and works with, confidential departmental, budgetary, strategic, and volunteer information Ability to exercise tact, discretion, independent judgment and decision making within the scope of the job Demonstrate organizational loyalty with an adaptable team approach to the ministry Ability to solve problems and proactively implement strategies to improve processes Polished professional demeanor Proficiency, competency and speed in computer operation including standard MS office software such as Word and Excel Proficiency in the use of the Internet including Google Suite. Quick and accurate aptitude for acquisition of other software, database and scheduling applications such as ROCK and FMX Responsibilities - Including but not limited to the following: Receive, assist, and direct all guests (delivery drivers, vendors, contractors, etc.) at the Oklahoma City Front Office so that they may complete their visit with minimal difficulty Full understanding and use of phone system to be able to assist and train others as needed on the phone system Answer and accurately direct incoming calls, or take complete and accurate information and timely delivery to the appropriate staff member Accurately process outgoing mail for timely delivery each business day Receive, sort, and accurately deliver mail to the in-house mail locations by the specified collection times for each business day Assist ministries and departments in the completion of projects requiring USPS mailings, packet assembly, etc. Accomplish weekly duties associated with Connections Ministry Assist Location Support Director with management of Cookie, Front Office, and Pew Rack Volunteer Teams Ensure front office is neat in appearance and well stocked at all times, and has all necessary stationery and material (pens, forms and informative leaflets) available to assist guests Ensure break rooms are clean and sufficiently stocked at all times Ensure workrooms have sufficient inventory and are well organized to easily assist staff with supply needs Full understanding of emergency procedures and the role of the Front Office in such emergencies: Train any volunteers regarding emergency procedures to be able to troubleshoot emergencies as they arise. Maintains positive working relationships and communications with all departments, ministries, and partners of Crossings Assist in maintaining the highest possible ministry standards and professional ethics in accordance with the goals, Purpose Statement, and Core Values of Crossings Community Church Support the leadership of CCC, contributing to the spirit of unity among the staff and congregation Represent Crossings in civic and ministry-related efforts as approved or requested Perform any other duties or tasks to accomplish responsibilities associated with this position or as may be needed or assigned to fulfill the needs, mission, and goals of the Connections Team and Crossings' ministries. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Exhibit a passion to walk with people in their faith development. Be a proven and effective leader in the areas of responsibility attached to this position. A multi-tasking team player with high energy, strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Physical & Other Requirements for Position Be able to walk a long distance (up to a quarter of a mile); and be able to lift and carry 25-35 lbs. parcels for distances of up to 500 feet. Able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. Possess a current unrestricted driver's license. This is a safety sensitive position where the employee holding this position has the responsibility of his/her own safety and the safety of others including minors. Drug free workplace. Spiritual Gifts & Walk A maturing walk with Christ, exhibiting the spiritual gifts of administration/organization, empathy, encouragement, helps, and hospitality CCC membership, or good standing membership within a like-minded Faith Community Preferred - attends Crossings on a consistent basis to understand culture, mission, and vision Education and Experience Minimum High School diploma or equivalent Receptionist, or equivalent, experience required Computer, or equivalent, experience required Additional specialized training in office database, software, and systems desired It's desirable, though not required, that the Connections Support Specialist shall have: Completed a minimum of one-year undergraduate work and/or Vo-tech clerical training Experience in a professional office Experience in a church or non-profit environment
