Job DescriptionIT Specialist Location: Champaign, IL 61822 Employment Type: Direct-HireJob SummaryThe IT Specialist collaborates with the global IT team to deliver first-line service and support for endpoints, applications, and systems that support plant operations. Additionally, they contribute to various cross-functional team initiatives. They are responsible for the continuous maintenance and management of the global network and related services, such as switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and network security. Candidates with experience in manufacturing settings are highly preferred.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide support for end-user computers, applications, and networks, escalating complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.Oversee the global network infrastructure, ensuring consistent design, security, redundancy, and optimal uptime.Assist in managing the user lifecycle, including creating and administering employee logins and system access.Support endpoint lifecycle management from procurement to deployment, management, and eventual disposal.Participate in Change Management, Incident Management, and Disaster Recovery activities as required.Help define and meet SLA requirements for support-related issues.Continuously seek ways to enhance and refine global network services.Stay informed on emerging technologies and assess their relevance.Share technical expertise, industry knowledge, and best practices with the team to drive meaningful improvements.Work independently when necessary, exercising sound judgment, while ensuring clear documentation of tasks and achievements.Collaborate with European staff to coordinate and work on assigned projects.QualificationsBachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field, with 3-4 years of progressive IT experience in comparable support roles. Experience with multinational or international technology implementations is preferred.Proven experience in managing all aspects of a corporate network, including edge switching, VLANs, routing protocols, wireless access points, firewalls, internet connectivity, and service redundancy/failover.Expertise in network support and troubleshooting, including IP services, Ethernet/fiber, wireless, VPNs, firewalls, and IP telephony.Strong proficiency in MS Office and general application troubleshooting and support.Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud technologies, including Entra, Office 365, and Intune.Demonstrated ability to logically resolve issues and quickly acquire new skills and technologies.Ability to understand and apply industry best practices.Preference for candidates with experience supporting ERP solutions, such as JD Edwards E1 or SAP.If you meet the qualifications above please apply for immediate consideration!All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, protected veteran status or any other protected status under the law.EverStaff is an equal opportunity employer (M/F/D/V/SO/GI).
