Essential duties and responsibilities:
* Assists patients calling or visiting the clinic
* Greet all patients face to face or on the phone in a pleasant and professional manner.
* Complete patient check-in per clinic protocol.
* Records patient arrival time, monitors waiting area and assist patients with basic needs and questions.
* Check patients out from visit timely for appropriate tracking of appointments.
* Confirmation of patient appointments daily.
* Directs patients to Patient Representatives for further assistance regarding their financial account.
* Assist patients in scheduling appointments with Financial Eligibility staff for insurance or Sliding fee needs.
* Schedules patient appointments following scheduling protocols.
* Practice medical home model of care, Provider designation, including care team structure education to patients.
* Ability to provide support staff coverage at other clinics within same service line (medical to medical, dental to dental, behavioral health to behavioral health)
* Provides Administrative Support to the Clinic
* Verify provider schedule daily, print periodically throughout the day.
* Responds to request from all clinics and departments within Valley-Wide as well as partnering organizations.
* Completion of daily inbox, timely responses to email and EHR tasks
* Weekly clean out of patient CHC meds and documents not picked up
* Verifies insurance coverage, and co-pays
* Verifies encounters with daily audit report.
* Participates in monthly clinic meetings.
* Responsible for Collection of Payment and Reconciling Cash Collection
* Collect payments following cashier protocols, making deposits to designated banks as required.
* Reconciles daily cash collections and cash drawers.
* Maintains fee schedule for easy reference and use.
* Processes cash, check and credit card payments, ensuring collection of insurance co-payments, sliding fee and private payments.
Job Qualifications Experience:
* Ability to prioritize work and manage time
* Intermediate use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Ability to communicate professionally in person and on the phone
* High school diploma or GED
* BLS certification/training and certification will be provided upon employment
