This is a great opportunity to get involved with today's vulnerable youth and to do your part in being a positive influence to youth in our community.The Homeless Youth and Young Adult Department On Call support staff members will fill shifts when necessary and available in programs throughout the department to include Young Adult Emergency Shelter, Youth Resource Center Drop-in, and Transitional Living Programs. The support Staff will be oriented, trained, and will shadow in the program prior to working any shifts. Minimum job requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: Understanding/experience with vulnerable populations and transition-aged youth (lived-experience and expertise looked upon favorably)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check with no history of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Must be reliable and trustworthy
  • Desire to work hard and be self-motivated
  • Have good judgment skills and the ability to work in the gray
  • Must have strong communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
  • Must be judgment-free
  • Must be bold and courageous
  • Value the voice of young people
