Be an advocate for survivors of sexual violence through our 24-Hour Crisis Hotline or Hospital Accompaniment. Being a volunteer advocate is one of the most critical roles we need to fill. You can be an advocate for survivors of sexual violence through our 24-Hour Crisis Hotline or through Hospital Accompaniment. Help reduce the trauma a survivor experiences from sexual violence by providing unbiased emotional support and information to survivors, family members, and friends. You will also help survivors understand their choices and support them in selecting their options.
Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.Basic requirements for this volunteer opportunity are that you complete an application and background check, complete our 40 hr training, take at least 1 shift a month, and participate in in-person or virtual advocacy meetings when scheduled. Training begins on April 16th and will conclude on May 2nd, every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night from 6:30pm- 9:30pm with one Saturday in between.
