Summary:
All technical support professionals in the IT Support Technician I role are considered generalists that must be familiar with all of Lynn University's IT systems, hardware, and applications. These professionals will respond to issues, resolve incidents, and fulfill service requests escalated by the IT Contact Center and the IT Customer Service Desk. These technicians must have strong troubleshooting abilities and be knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, and iOS. Responsibilities include moving, adding, or changing hardware or other parts of the IT environment, as well as supporting university events. The IT Support Technician I role focuses on operations while participating in minimal project-related activities.
Job Description:
Essential duties and responsibilities
* Support IT-related hardware residing on the desktop, including phones, computers, cabling, and related accessories, as well as supporting applications installed on computer workstations and mobile devices.
* Granting application access to Lynn University students and employees.
* Initial troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of IT-related issues experienced by end-users.
* Create, maintain, edit, and validate accurate and thorough documentation of processes and procedures based on assigned responsibilities and expertise.
* Follow the IT Department processes and procedures to update and complete tasks assigned within the preferred university IT Service Management application.
* Provide IT and audio-visual support for university-hosted events.
* Deliver outstanding service with a smile.

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Two years experience with audio-visual systems.
