Compensation:
$34/hr to $40/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Top Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent engineering / IT
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- 2+ years professional working experience in a technical environment (computer programming, engineering, math, SCADA technologies, etc.)
Plusses:
- Experience with SCADA (specially OSI SCADA or GE SCADA)
- Professional working experience with ADMS, OMS, or DMS systems
- 2+ years technical knowledge in the electrical utility industry
Daily Responsibilities:
- Insight Global is looking for a support engineer or electrical engineer for an extended contract opportunity located in Louisville area. This person will sit out of a control center and will collaborate with a small team of engineers at a large utility company. There is an incredible amount of growth in this role and company as they are undergoing a huge transition from OSI SCADA to GE SCADA. Primary responsibilities include creating DNP3 points in the SCADA system, modeling SCADA devices, assigning alarm settings, and establishing communications via IP. Other responsibilities will include communicating with linemen and substation engineers out in the field to assist with point checking of reclosers and substation equipment. They will also need to be proficient in Microsoft Office Products as well as have basic computer skills. There is extensive training and a supportive team to help educate new hires on every function of the role. The ideal candidate will have an interest or experience in the power industry, and be motivated to learn new and challenging things. They should also be comfortable with taking initiative on tasks and communicating with co-workers in other departments.
