Position Overview / Hybrid Role Timeline: Bizowie is seeking a talented and motivated Software Support Analyst who can transition into a DevOps facing role. In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional support for our software systems and performing Developer Operations tasks to ensure smooth deployment, integration, and overall operational efficiency. If you are excited about solving complex technical challenges, we'd love to hear from you! Software Support Analyst (first 6 mos)

  • Train on our Cloud ERP application to become a subject matter expert (business lead and self-study)
  • Deliver expert technical support to our customers as it relates to our software application, troubleshoot issues, and clearly reporting bugs to ensure optimal user experience
  • Create, track, and manage support tickets using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Zendesk).
  • Keep current on the latest enhancements and changes to the software.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for support procedures, complex system workflows, and system configurations
  • Create a healthy relationship amongst the various internal teams to help us meet our company objectives
Developer Operations (6 month mark / upon mastery of Software Support position)
  • Continue to work with our customers through software support channel
  • Become a mentor / training resource for our next new hire who will assist in Software Support
  • Ensure the production environment is stable and services are reliable.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and automated alerting systems to proactively detect and fix issues.
  • Diagnose and remedy performance issues, adding optimization through both system and application changes.
Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with scripting languages (Perl, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript or Python)
    • Deep understanding of the foundations of the web (HTML, CSS, JS)
    • Experience querying and working with relational databases (MySQL/Postgres)
    • Experience working with Amazon Web Services and related tools
    • General familiarity with the Linux operating system
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in documenting issues and solutions
  • Forward Thinking: Willingness to learn and grow your skill set through the lens of our customers using the system.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self Motivated: Strong ability to understand the work to be done with little to no prompting to make the most of your work day.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
