Apply once and ride with us to the top of your career.The Supported Employment Specialist works under the direction of a written Individual Service Plan, to provides community employment supports to adults with a severe and persistent mental illness. These services may include the provision of mental-illness management supports in a variety of employment settings. Develops and maintains relationships with community employers and other vocational programs to increase collaborative efforts.Requirements1. A baccalaureate degree in social work, rehabilitation, psychology, education, or a related human service field and one year of experience working with persons with severe and persistent mental illness or two years experience in a human service field preferably within supported employment services.2. An equivalent combination of education and experience, such that: a) one additional year of education in a human service field may be substituted for each year of experience required; and b) one additional year of experience in a human service program may be substituted for one year of education required; and c) other experience in the provision of services to persons with severe and persistent mental illness or by other persons who have personal knowledge of mental illness, may be substituted for the experience required, given demonstrable skills or competencies derived from the experience. d) a waiver is approved by the Bureau of Behavioral Health.3. A commitment to psychosocial rehabilitation with a consumer adult population.4. Demonstrated communication skills.5. A good driving record, reliable transportation, and the ability to transport consumers when necessary to achieve treatment goals.
