Advanced Practice Provider - Supportive and Palliative Care Opening

Memorial Hermann Medical Group is seeking a licensed Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider to join our Division of Supportive and Palliative Care. Ideal for a candidate that is seeking a healthy work life balance in an employed and integrated health system. Candidates should also be able to effectively collaborate with referring physicians, agencies, and other professionals to provide optimum care for each patient.This role incorporates both inpatient and outpatient Support and Palliative Care.

  • Licensed Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider
  • Shift |Schedule – Days

    • Discussions with patients and families on goals of care and advance care planning
    • Symptom Management
    • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains and other specialists to provide patient centered care
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

Physician Assistant

Education: Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program; Masters strongly preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Inc.
  • Licensed by the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners
  • Eligibility for DEA licensure
  • Basic Cardiac Life Certification or Advanced Cardiac Life Certification)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • 2-3 years clinical experience preferred in area of intended practice
