Job Description ECU Health About ECU Health Chowan HospitalECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25-bed critical access hospital which provides programs and services to 110,000 people in 6 counties. The facility offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7-bed emergency department serves approximately 15,000 patients per year and team members at the facility have access to a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.Position Summary Summary of position purpose and scope: The Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor has advanced knowledge of Environmental cleaning procedures and can provide leadership guidance in the absence of the manager. As an EVS Supervisor, they are responsible for the assurance of clean hospital facilities and fixtures through the supervision of housekeeping personnel, performs quality assurance inspections of all areas, review of cleaning procedures, training of new hires and evaluations of front-line personnel. As an EVS Supervisor, they will be able to complete team members performance appraisals, complete departmental scheduling, and appropriately discipline and reward team members per ECU Health Policy and Procedures. As an EVS Supervisor, they are responsible for ensuring a positive impression by greeting patients, visitors, internal customers and peers with a smile and genuine attitude that says, Welcome to ECU Health Chowan Hospital.
