Job Description:
Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate Surgery Scheduler to join our General & Breast Surgery Team! Under the supervision of the Practice Supervisor, is responsible for assuring that surgical cases are scheduled in an accurate manner using the manual and automated systems, facilitates telephone messages and usage with a high level of service, and assists in medical records management to support an accurate completed medical document. Maintains accurate records associated with the scheduling, and the processing of patient documentation. Scheduler is able to utilize the automated systems to support the scheduling functions. Able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact, stamina, and endurance.Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own growth and advancement
  • Is aware of the workings of an operating room environment and surgical scheduling.
  • Previous experience is highly preferred
