Join us in shaping the future of healthcare at Hudson Regional Hospital.Responsibilities:· Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and relevant diagnostic tests.· Collaborate with the supervising surgeon and interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.· Provide preoperative and postoperative care to Orthopedic/Spine surgery patients, including clinic visits and rounding on postoperative patients.· First Assist in surgical procedures as directed by the surgeon, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and patient safety protocols.· Manage and coordinate the continuum of care for Orthopedic/Spine surgery patients, including monitoring their progress, adjusting treatment plans, and addressing any complications or concerns that may arise.· Educate patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment options, and postoperative care instructions.· Document patient encounters, procedures, and treatment plans accurately and comprehensively in the electronic medical record system.·Qualifications:· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program· Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey· Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)· Prior experience in Orthopedic and Spine surgery or a closely related field is preferred but not required.· Strong clinical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Salary: CompetitiveJob Type: Full time and Per diem availableHours: Rotating 12 hour shifts, Monday-Saturday
