Job Description:
Performs the function of a procedural technician, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with patient care, rooming patients, and with procedures. Works under the supervision of the RN in Pre & Post Op, Endo and OR. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served over the life span. Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs as it relates to the pavilion tech role. Must be able to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.   • High School or Equivalent, college courses/coursework preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant in Virginia or enrolled nursing student with clinical experience, or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of general work experience
  • Previous work in a medical environment preferred

  • Education requirements are met annually including both Augusta Health annual requirements and unit defined competencies.

  • Abides by Augusta Health policy and procedure in delivery of care, code of conduct and professionalism.
  • Clinical Competence in all aspects of Procedural Scrub role (ophthalmology, urology, pain management, GI, puller for orthopedic total joint cases.
