The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting surgical teams during procedures and ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available and sterile. This is a 13-week assignment with the potential for an extension based on performance and department needs.*Responsibilities:** Assist in preparing the operating room for surgery by ensuring sterile techniques are followed and that all required instruments, supplies, and equipment are ready.* Maintain a sterile field during procedures by handling instruments, sutures, and supplies in accordance with surgical protocols.* Assist the surgical team during procedures, providing the necessary instruments and equipment when requested.* Monitor the patient's condition and ensure all safety protocols are followed.* Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after surgeries.* Maintain accurate records related to surgical procedures, equipment use, and patient care.* Adhere to all infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.*Requirements:** *Experience:* A minimum of 2 years as a surgical technician is required.* *Certification:* NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) or NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) certification required.* *BLS Certification:* Basic Life Support (AHA) certification is required.* *COVID-19 Vaccination:* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or card required.*Additional Information:** Competitive pay with guaranteed 40 hours per week.* Evening shifts, offering flexibility for personal schedules.* Opportunity for extension based on performance and department needs.Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract, TemporaryPay: $2,245.00 - $2,295.00 per weekMedical Specialty:* Neurology* Ob/Gyn* Surgery* Trauma Medicine* UrologySchedule:* 5x8* Evening shift* Monday to Friday* Rotating shift* Weekends as neededExperience:* Surgical Technician: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:* NBSTSA or NCCT Certification (Required)* BLS Certification from AHA (Required)Work Location: On the road
