Full-Time Surgical Technologist at Inova Northern Virginia Ambulatory Surgery CenterInova Northern Virginia Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Full-Time Certified Surgical Tech (ST) to join our exceptional team of surgical professionals. The ideal candidate will possess at least two or more years of experience in the Operating Room, with a focus on orthopedic surgery.We value strong teamwork and encourage independent problem-solving. The successful candidate will be a proactive, calm, and adaptable individual who can effectively support a variety of needs as they arise within the department.Our center features four Operating Room suites and three GI/Endo rooms, soon to expand to four. While our primary focus is on orthopedic surgery, we also excel in Total Joints, GYN, Urology, Podiatry, ENT, Plastics, and general surgeries. As a full-service ambulatory outpatient facility, we are licensed, Medicare-certified, and AAAHC accredited.Our center is dedicated to providing cost-effective outpatient services, utilizing modern, state-of-the-art technology in a welcoming and compassionate environment. Our highly skilled staff is committed to delivering exceptional care to each patient, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish.WORK SCHEDULE:
  • Monday-Friday, 5x8s
  • Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Scrub surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Assist with transferring patient to the operating room table; assist with positioning the patient, using appropriate equipment and anatomical principles to avoid patient injury
  • Perform initial instrument, sharps and sponge counts with the circulator
  • Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, equipment and rooms for surgical procedures
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedure
  • Recognize safety hazards and initiates appropriate corrective and/or preventive measures
  • Perform other related duties as a key member of the team supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Two or more years of Surgical Tech (ST) experience
  • Completion of an appropriate Surgical Tech program
  • Surgical Tech certification and/or experience is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be registered to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • BLS certification is required
