Two nights per week, every 4th weekend. C-Section experience preferred. Position will include Sterile Processing responsibilities.Job SummaryThe Surgical Technologist is a member of the surgical team who works with other personnel in delivering quality patient care to clients and assumes responsibilities pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively. The Surgical Technologist demonstrates technical competencies and knowledge of aseptic technique, operating room policies and procedures, equipment, supplies and instruments used in the operating room. The Surgical Technologist has positive interpersonal relationships and well-developed critical thinking skills. He/she supports the philosophy, goals and standards of the hospital, department and unit. The Surgical Technologist has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related patient care protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The Surgical Technologist is scrubbed in for short or long periods of time. The Surgical Technologist is able to work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to adjust to changes in duties with minimal notice as the schedule requires.QualificationsMinimum of graduate of a school of Surgical Technology.Expected to be CPR certified every other year.
