Job Type Full-timeDescriptionHOURLY RATE: 15.00-20.00Please be advised - This is a 3rd Shift Position ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family. FUNCTIONS STATEMENT:• To observe and report any and all activities related to gaming, and normal operations of the casino property.MAJOR DUTIES:• Monitor all areas of the Grand Casino via CCTV and direct observation.• Knowledge of gaming procedures and department procedures to ensure effective surveillance.• Maintains logbook of daily operations.• Maintain surveillance equipment.• Install and remove video equipment as requiredFACTOR 1: KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THIS POSITION• Working knowledge of computer-generated scheduling, guides, and logbooks.• Working knowledge of intermediate mathematics.• Basic knowledge of information management.• Knowledge of the property layout and high-risk areas.• Knowledge of procedures for contacting emergency services.• Knowledge of the importance of budget planning and limitations.• Knowledge of state-of-the-art surveillance methods and techniques.• Knowledge of the latest techniques and methods of covert casino surveillance.FACTOR 2: SUPERVISORY CONTROLS• Incumbent is under the general supervision of the Surveillance Shift Supervisor.• Supervisor assigns work on information regarding the objectives, priorities, and deadlines.• Incumbent handles most work independently according to established policies and accepted practices.• Incumbent plans and carries out the projects and selects the approaches and methods to be used in solving problems.• Completed projects are reviewed to determine that objectives have been met and are in compliance with higher authority, policies, and regulations.FACTOR 3: GUIDELINES• Incumbent applies prescribed information technology, security, and surveillance industrial standards and specifications as amended, employer standard operating procedures, in addition to the handbook, policies, and precedents.• Guidelines include personal experience, Citizen Potawatomi Nation regulations and directives, manufacturer's catalogs, handbooks, precedents, and files of previous projects.• The incumbent implements adaptations in dealing with problems and unusual situations always with the best interests of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and the Grand Casino Hotel & Resort in mind.FACTOR 4: COMPLEXITY• As the level of difficulty increases, the incumbent considers differences in the courses of action and refines methods or develops new techniques, concepts, theories, or programs, to solve problems.• The level of complexity will vary from mild to extremely intensive and complex circumstances on a routine basis.• The incumbent is often required to depart from past approaches and to extend traditional techniques or develop new ones to meet major objectives and projects without compromising the integrity of the finished work product.FACTOR 5: SCOPE AND EFFECT• The purpose of the work is to provide technical expertise in the design, maintenance, and safety of the information technology, security, and surveillance hardware, software, data, and property related to Grand Casino Hotel & Resort.• This work affects the quality of the automated systems within and throughout the property.FACTOR 6: PERSONAL CONTACTS• The range of contacts includes ordinary citizens who come to enjoy the amenities offered by the property, to international dignitaries in addition to those dignitaries who represent the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, National Indian Gaming Commission, Federal, and State Government, and other Native American Tribes.FACTOR 7: PURPOSE OF CONTACTS• The purpose of the contacts is to provide and exchange information and data. The contacts may include dealing with people who are angry, skeptical, uncooperative, unreceptive, or hostile.FACTOR 8: PHYSICAL DEMANDS• The position requires prolonged and irregular hours on a routine basis. Some bending, stooping, climbing, and walking.• Prolonged periods of sitting and watching monitors.FACTOR 9: WORK ENVIRONMENT• The physical surrounding includes an inside office setting.• Surveillance Officer Observer and Technical Training provided.• Experience with the most recent Microsoft desktop operating systems, Microsoft Exchange .• Familiarity with basic TCP/IP networking is highly desirable.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:• Must have High School Diploma/GED• Must have very good communication and writing skills and have the ability to follow verbal and written directions and instructions• Ability to operate various computer software applications and DVR equipment.• Ability to work any shifts, start time, weekends, and holidaysNOTE: The above duties are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by an employee in this position.
