THE JOB:
It is the responsibility of the Surveillance Operator to protect the integrity of all table games, sports book, slots, count rooms, cage, keno, cashiers, and other related areas. Video document all irregularities/deviations from normal activities and alert Supervisors when any irregularities or deviations occur.
THE STARTING RATE: $22.00
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
* Maintains strict confidentiality for the company when conducting observations and investigations
* Operates Close Circuit Television (CCTV)/digital recording programs to conduct surveillance
* Uses computer and associated hardware to complete documentation
* Writes and prepares daily reports and logs
* Reviews video and documents specific slot and table game jackpots, guest complaints, and variances in all departments
* Conducts routine surveillance filming, reviews videos, and completes documentation to detect suspicious activity throughout casino and gaming areas
* Maintains evidence by saving video files
* Monitors Table Games, Casino Cage, Soft Count, and Slot areas and personnel as well as employees off the casino floor
* Testifies in court as a representative for the company as necessary
* Interfaces with departments throughout the property
* Cooperates with the DGE and other outside agencies
* Attends all company sponsored training classes
* Remains current of all activities that threaten the security of Borgata hotel and casino.
* Monitors assigned areas on a continuous basis to ensure complete coverage.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* High School diploma or GED
* One (1) year of relevant experience
* Detailed knowledge of Table Games, Slots, Race & Sports Book and Casino Cage procedures
* Knowledge of advantage play systems and cheating methods
* Detailed knowledge of local gaming regulations
* Proficient in basic math without use of a calculator
* Ability to distinguish colors
* Professional appearance and demeanor.
* Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Basic working knowledge of various computer technology and software to include Microsoft Office applications
* Effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
