Summary:

Perform various surveying related tasks using both traditional methods and entry-level Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to produce precise and accurate results in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Record survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, sketches, and various electronic data collectors.

* Position and hold surveying rods to locate and record measurements.

* Utilize entry-level CAD software to create and modify simple surveying drawings and plans under guidance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* None

Requirements:

* Strong math skills.

* Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to critical problems.

* Good oral and written skills to communicate on multiple levels with various clients and co-workers.

* Ability to work within a team environment.

* Desire to work outdoors year-round.

* Must be a self-starter with the desire to learn and advance.

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Exposure to or coursework in CAD is a plus.
