The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of combined experience in all phases of land surveying, construction, boundary and topographic surveying. - Independently performs surveying assignments, making exact measurements, and providing data relevant to the shape, contour, location, elevation and dimension of land or land features
- Operates and maintains all instruments and measuring devices including levels, robotic total stations, GPS equipment and data collectors
- Knowledge of Trimble Field Equipment and data collector software
- Download and upload survey data to data collectors and office computers
- Mentor and train other staff
- Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Experience in office preparation of survey drawings using AutoCAD software, a plus

- Assist with appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the project team and office.
- Complete assignments on-time, within budget, and with highest level of quality.
- Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish assignments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10years land surveying experience
- High School diploma or GED required
- Working knowledge of surveying
- Highly motivated
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to operate Trimble Robotic Total Stations, Trimble GPS Equipment, data collectors, digital levels, and other related equipment.
- Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, type/key-in data
- May lift and carry up to 50 pounds, hike up and down steep slopes carrying up to 50 pounds of survey equipment.
- The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
- Employee may be asked to walk on uneven terrain.
- May work in extreme weather conditions.
- Bend, squat, dig monument holes, pound in stakes and rebar monuments.
- Carry and use brush cutting equipment
- May drive survey vehicle
