The County Surveyor's Office in the Department of Land Use and Transportation is recruiting for a Survey Technician III to join the Development Review section of the Surveyor's Office. The primary duties include reviewing surveys and plats for compliance with applicable statutes and codes for filing in the County Surveyor's Office. Ideal CandidateThe Survey Technician III is the advanced journey level class in the Survey Technician series. Positions at this level are distinguished from other classes within the series by the level of responsibility assumed and the complexity of duties assigned. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the most difficult and responsible types of duties assigned to classes within this series. In depth knowledge of survey related laws and statutes are a necessity along with knowledge of boundary resolution and deed interpretation.   • Associates Degree in surveying, mathematics, geographic information systems, construction management, engineering, forestry, or related field; AND Two (2) years of responsible experience in boundary, cadastral or construction surveying. OR
  • Four (4) years of responsible experience in boundary, cadastral or construction surveying, which includes functional lead or training personnel experience.
