Location: all cities,TX, USA
Miller Survey is seeking a Survey Technician to fill an immediate opening in their Houston office. The ideal candidate will have a functional knowledge of land and site survey projects, including but not limited to the following:
· Analyze and interpret public records research, including deeds, plans and other documents required by the project
· Delegate tasks to field crew, as required
· Import points into CAD software and draw topographic features
· Works on routine survey assignments to resolve issues and make recommendations for new procedures, as required
· Resourceful in identifying and resolving technical issues
· Performs QA/QC of raw data, analyze and manipulate data as necessary
· QA/QC and read through M&B descriptions and recognize and corrects errors
· prepares Exhibits and M&B descriptions under supervision of RPLS
· Writes M&B for large tracts with intricate detail and boundary reference descriptions
· Project Management:
· task manager on multiple survey projects
· Monitors budget, project tasks and schedule against contract
· Communicates with clients on project tasks and routine issues
· Under the guidance of a PM, RPLS or manager, monitors or acts on budgeting, invoicing, and accounts receivable
· Must have experience as a survey technician in Boundary/Topography for civil engineering support services. SIT preferred but will consider other candidates with equivalent experience.
