Overview:

Abacus Technology is seeking a Surveyor to mark and document property lines for Robins AFB. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Search legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.
• Measure distances and angles between points on, above, and below the Earths surface.
• Utilize known reference points to determine the exact location of important features.
• Record the results of surveying and verify the accuracy of data.
• Prepare or supervise preparation of plots, maps, and reports.
• Present findings to site manager as necessary.

Qualifications:

2+ years experience in surveying. HS diploma or GED. Experience using Global Positioning System (GPS) units and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology. Experience using CAD software to create digital maps. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to operate in a customer focused and professional manner that ensures the services are proficient and provided courteously. Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance.
