Job Description
Description: Sushi concept inside Urban Hawker Food Hall seeking sushi chef.Experience: 1- 3 years of experience in a comparable position.Role & Responsibilities:- Complete opening and closing procedures in a timely manner.- Prepare dishes according to recipes and company standards.- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in daily preparation.- Teamwork- Work with members of service team.- Organized, Detailed, Precise, Punctual & Reliable are Paramount.- Ensure cleanliness of the overall station.- Perform hourly, daily, weekly cleaning, and prep tasks.- Ability to maintain the highest standards Food Safety and Sanitation practices with attention to detail.- Having a positive attitude, being a team player and being presentable as a chef.Skills and Knowledge:- Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role is preferred- Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and plating presentation- Familiarity with different types of fish and ingredients- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple orders simultaneously- Strong attention to detail and food safety regulationsPhysical abilities:- Must be able to lift and carry 60 pounds.- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.- Ability to communicate well and maintain positive interpersonal relations with co-workers and guests.Schedule:- 8 hour shift- Day shift- Evening shift- Restaurant opened Monday to Sunday- 5 to 6 days a weekThe above statements are not intended to encompass all functions and qualifications of this position.
