This role will be responsible to create, lead, and maintain a global strategy to reduce, on an ongoing basis, the utility demands of Entegris' manufacturing facility including but not limited to electricity, water, and fuel consumption. As part of the Global Sustainability Team, the new hire will work with teams around our North America footprint to lead and implement short and long-term projects and/or strategies that improve the sustainability of our work and organization by reducing the consumption of energy/water/waste and shifting our operations away from GHG-emitting processes. This Corporate Support level position is considered a flex position with regular attendance at one of our Entegris manufacturing locations (Aurora, IL; Chaska, MN; Billerica, MA; Hillsboro, OR; Colorado Springs, CO; Round Rock, TX; Burnet, TX; Danbury, CT) and can include up to 20% travel to our various factory locations. What You'll Do:
  • Create, lead, and maintain a global strategy to reduce, on an ongoing basis, the utility demands of Entegris' manufacturing facility including but not limited to electricity, water, and natural gas consumption, with focus on sites in North America.
  • Facilitate site assessments to identify resource conservation measures (architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) at existing and new Entegris facilities. Provide the necessary leadership and motivation to keep projects on track and aligned with the overall CSR goals.
  • Support site teams to develop energy, water, and waste reduction and optimization projects. Facilitate the sharing of best practices from site to site. Research and promote industry best practices for energy, water, waste, and emission reductions.
  • Provide standards for preparing technical analysis/cost justification for Sustainability related to project and product development and execution.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive resource management plans. Optimize the use of utility resources within the organization.
  • Lead the Life Cycle Analysis Program to assess the environmental impacts associated with all stages of a product or process, from raw material extraction through production, use, and disposal.
  • Energy Usage Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor and analyze energy consumption across all facilities. Set energy efficiency goals and targets in alignment with the organization's sustainability objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to upgrade systems and equipment for improved utility efficiency.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies for proposed sustainability projects.
  • Sustainability and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal energy regulations and standards.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in sustainability management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with various departments to raise awareness and promote resource conservation programs. Train and educate staff on resource-saving practices and initiatives.
  • Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and consultants for sustainability projects.
  • Proficiency in energy management software and tools.
What We Seek:
  • Proven track record of successfully championing sustainability goals and facilitating utility improvements at the site and corporate level.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar certification is preferred.
  • Experience in sustainability management, energy management, or a related field.
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification obtained through the Green Building Council Institute (GBCI) is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cost savings studies and incorporating resource conservation measures.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, facility drawings, contract documents, equipment specifications, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing business priorities, and ability to communicate swiftly to team members when a change in direction is needed.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with energy monitoring and management systems.
  • Knowledge of energy regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to successfully work autonomously in a virtual, highly collaborative team environment.

  • Developing a cost-effective energy efficiency strategy that supports Entegris' sustainability goals.
  • The number of New Product Development projects embracing Sustainability and CSR with a defined LCA.
  • Progress toward reducing Entegris GHG emissions.
