General Description: The Sustainability Specialist serves as an essential Environment and Sustainability team member responsible to ensure systems and processes are in place to support continuity and growth of the business through support of Flexsys sustainability strategy, metrics, reporting and governance and overall HSES information systems. Responsible for managing the software solutions, gathering and managing global data and reporting out metrics and activities to Flexsys Leadership and various Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks. Supports responses to customer inquiries. Develops, proposes and implements new and innovative processes which improve overall efficiency. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Responsible for coordinating, tracking, completing and on time submittal of all draft Environmental, social and Governance and Sustainability reporting such as CDP, Investor and Customer Questionnaires. • Responsible for managing Sustainability and HSES metrics, their tracking systems, training and supporting users. Validate quality of data submissions. • Manage/provide Sustainability and HSES metrics input to company metric dashboards. • Supports annual sustainability report development and contribute to the development of internal and external sustainability marketing material. • Works closely with cross functional resources to ensure ongoing efficient interfaces between Sustainability, HSES and Commercial, Manufacturing, Legal and Finance processes and business needs. • Functions as GHG Accounting Protocol expert. • Supports Life Cycle Assessment with information gathering and assembly. • Develops scope 3 emission data inventory and supports processes to manage data. • Responds to internal and external customer sustainability reports requests. • Analyzes information from government publications, vendors, and other sources of sustainability information and provides regional impact analysis for the company based on any changes. • Support Third Party Assessment/Certification processes as needed. Requirements • Minimum BS degree in sustainability, engineering, or related field. • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (multifunctional, global, all levels of the organization) and highly • Knowledge and working understanding of ESG and Sustainability • Detailed oriented and organized • Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP etc.) • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to travel, as needed Desired Competencies: • Able to work cross-functionally and cross-regionally • Uses communication skills that enhance teamwork (listens, open, honest, timely, direct) • Actively encourages input and feedback from others • Consistently identifies issues, secures relevant information, compares data from different sources and builds relationships across the company • Keeps commitments.
