If you are talented, driven, enjoy the pace of a start-up like environment, let's talk!Position Title & Overview: As the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to drive brand awareness, differentiation, and company growth. In this role, you will lead a team of marketing professionals to contribute to the growth of our publisher base, establish strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth. Your ability to analyze industry trends, translate strategy into actionable plans and deliver a multi-year roadmap will be essential to your success in this role and the long-term success of Mediavine.As SVP of Marketing, you'll have the ability to innovate with new marketing approaches that resonate with our publisher community and industry partners. You'll play a pivotal role in amplifying Mediavine's voice in programmatic advertising, thought leadership and digital publishing.This role will report directly to our Chief Revenue Officer.Essential Responsibilities:Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with Mediavine's vision for growth, ensuring alignment across the company to drive long-term goalsLead targeted marketing initiatives to enhance brand awareness, strengthen Mediavine's position in the marketplace and drive revenue growthCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, publisher success, engineering and operations teams to integrate successful marketing strategies and enhance customer experienceLead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, while empowering team members to reach their full potentialLead strategic marketing efforts across multiple areas:Branding: Maintenance and evolution of the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and touch pointsDemand Generation: Drive marketing initiatives across various channels, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing to increase brand visibility and generate leadsPR: Lead media relations efforts, working with our PR agency, including managing relationships with press, influencers, and industry partners, to generate positive coverage and enhance brand reputationCommunications: Lead the development of integrated marketing and communication strategies, external and internal, that shapes messaging to target audiencesEvents Marketing: Develop and execute an events strategy to engage target audiences, drive leads into the sales funnel and enhance thought leadership in the industryProduct Marketing: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop go-to-market strategies for new products and features, including product positioning, messaging, and launch plansDevelop and manage the annual marketing budget, aligning expenditures with strategic goals and ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROIEstablish metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing actionable insights to enhance future strategiesContribute to Mediavine's position as a thought leader in the industry through strategic content creation, speaking engagements, and industry publications to enhance brand visibility and create revenue opportunitiesAvailability to travel to on-site locations for publisher/industry events, team retreats, leadership meetings and the annual all hands events (approximately 40% of the time)Location:Applicants must be based in the United StatesYou Have:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred15+ years of relevant and progressive experience in Marketing, Sales, Partnerships or other related GTM roles10+ years of experience in Technology; Media, Advertising Services or Ad Technology, preferred5+ years of successful experience in a VP or higher level roleProven success in leading high-performing marketing teams and communication teams (5+ members) in fast-paced, dynamic environmentsStrong understanding of the digital media landscape, including trends, technologies, and best practices, with a focus on online marketing and advertising ecosystemsDemonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goalsAbility to manage multiple marketing initiatives and set measurable performance targets in collaboration with executive leadership and key stakeholdersHands-on experience in developing messaging and positioning strategies for both sell-side and buy-side audiencesExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences, including internal teams, clients, and industry stakeholdersExperience as an in-person and virtual speaker for industry eventsProficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with CRM tools such as HubSpot or SalesforceStrong leadership skills with a focus on team development and positioning individuals for success, especially in remote and distributed team environmentsAvailability to travel to on-site locations for publisher/industry events, team retreats, leadership meetings and the annual all hands events (approximately 40% of the time)100% remoteComprehensive benefits including Health, Dental, Vision and 401k matchGenerous paid time offWellness and Home Office PerksUp to 12 weeks of paid Parental LeaveInclusive Family Forming BenefitsProfessional development opportunitiesTravel opportunities for teams, our annual All Hands retreat as well as industry eventMediavine provides equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
