The mission of the Sidewalk Program is to support the agency's goal by providing for the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible movement of people by making sidewalks safe and accessible for all pedestrians.
Under general supervision, the selected candidate will assist the Sidewalk Program's Community Response Unit by assisting with data entry associated with the in-house construction crews, respond to pedestrian ramp related 311 Microsoft Dynamics complaints and inquiries; prepare draft responses to ARTS correspondence cases related to pedestrian ramp construction; perform data entry across multiple databases and spreadsheets; update the Sidewalk Program Management Information Systems with capital reconstruction interference for planned construction; respond to telephone and email inquiries from the public
Minimum Qualifications
Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
Preferred Skills

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
