We invite you to join us and experience the best in pork and poultry production.The Swine Animal Caretaker performs various daily activities relating to the farrowing and breeding of swine and their health and welfare. Duties include, but are not limited to, monitoring house/room environment, caring and feeding of animals, farm sanitation, animal health and well-being, safety and housekeeping, animal movement, animal science and husbandry, and animal tracking data and all associated paperwork.Location of Openings Includes:Clinton, NCHarrells, NCRoseboro, NCClarkton, NCWhite Oak, NCTarheel, NCBladenboro, NCMinimum Requirements:Must have good communication skillsAdaptable to changeAbility to do physical laborAbility to follow instructionsEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to:Assist in all operations and care/feeding of the animalsEnsure the welfare/well-being of the animalsEnsure proper feed and supplies are on hand and follow standards for feeding and watering animalsIdentify problem areas and correct them immediately or report them to supervisorEnsure that all standards and procedures are known, understood, and adhered to, as trained; including all safety proceduresDevelop and/or maintain proper record-keeping tools for the animalsComplete regular reports in a timely manner and ensure any variances are correctedMaintain all equipment and the correct environment in all barns at all timesIdentify all inconsistencies and immediately rectify or report to supervisorPromote teamwork and be an active participant of the farm's teamPerform other duties as defined by managerSpecial Job RequirementsMust be able to work evenings and weekends when necessaryADA RequirementsAbility to walk, stoop, bend, climb, perform repetitive motions, see and distinguish colors, hear, and lift up to 50lbsIn addition to very competitive pay, employees of Prestage Farms receive:Sick PayVacation PayHoliday Pay401(k) PlanMedical InsuranceVoluntary Insurance options such as Dental, Vision, etc.#J-18808-Ljbffr
