We are currently recruiting for a Administrative Specialist I to function as a Switchboard Operator at Central Regional Hospital (CRH).

The primary purpose of this position is to provide twenty-four hour, seven days a week switchboard coverage, procedural handling of emergency services (Code Blue, Duress, Paging and Disaster Situations), and to instruct others (staff, patients and visitors) in emergency procedures. At times, this position is also required to assist with the daily mail, package handling and processing for staff, patients and other agencies that use the mail services at Central Regional Hospital.

The normal work schedule for this position is Saturday 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (16 hrs.) and Sunday 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (16hrs.) however flexibility is required to meet hospital needs. This is a part-time 32 hour position and is eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather.
