Lockheed Martin values your skills, training and education.Basic Qualifications:SSBN experience, ex-Nav ET or junior officer (qualified in submarines).• Ability to provide technical training to senior and junior military personnel as well as civilian government employees.• Experience in developing SWS Special Test Plans and acting as Test director aboard the CSS and SSBNs. Strong background in generating naval messages.• Familiar with Strategic Navigation Fleet Documentation, and able to review same and provide comments and updates as required.• Physically capable of going to sea onboard surface and subsurface NAVY vessels.• Ideal candidate will be prior senior navigation Electronics Technician or naval officer with extensive SWS SSBN experience.• Experience in Training and Certification of Fleet personnel.• Prior Strategic Navigation SSP, TYCOM or Squadron/NSSC staff experience is desired.• Subject Matter Expertise in Technical Manual development, process adherence, and standards• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage products in which proper performance is critical to avoid serious impacts to the overall program.• Process Improvement mindset/skills• In-depth knowledge of operations and maintenance, preferably with the Trident Navigation Program• Proven experience with the ability to quickly become meaningful team contributor• Demonstrated strong organizational skills• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Experience solving challenging problems• Strong Microsoft Office product knowledgeDesired Skills:• Qualified Strategic Navigation Center Supervisor• Qualified Diving Office of the Watch (DOOW)Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: Top SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday offThe base range for this position in New York is $121260.79 - 180416.4 per requisition>.
