The secretary is responsible for assisting and supporting staff with secretarial and clerical requirements as well as customer service responsibilities, to promote the efficient and effective operation of the school. Responsibilities Include Serves as the first face and voice of customer service for the school. Ensures that telephone calls are answered, screened and routed promptly, and that visitors to the office are greeted, signed-in, and directed to the proper place. Serves as a liaison between parents, Executive Team, and other staff members. Works closely with the Communications & Development Coordinator to communicate with stakeholders Assists in the preparation and completion of reports, communication to staff, and correspondence; Files correspondence or other records in prescribed manner Updates master school calendar as required Assists with substitute scheduling, coordination of special events, and processing field trip forms Supports Operations Manager in purchasing, check requests, and MUNIS Supports the Executive Team in scheduling interviews, processing resumes, and other hiring processes. Acts as the first point of contact for iPad issues before referring to Technology Coordinator Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization. QualificationsHigh school diploma/GED High level of proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and other office-related software packages Experience in work environments that require strong customer service Demonstrable skills in both oral and written communications, including the ability to draft correspondence for review by management Experience with standard office equipment and procedures Ability to use judgment to make or recommend decisions related to escalation of issues or other related situations based on departmental, school, or Board policy Terms of Employment, Salary, and BenefitsIncumbents will be considered at will. Salary and IncentivesTIMA pay is aligned with the SCCPSS scale with an hourly range of $16.67 - $20.59. Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications. There is a potential for an additional incentive structure aligned to meeting milestones pre-defined by administration.
