Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is currently seeking an entry level Syndicated Analyst to join the Commercial Insights - Performance Management team. The primary role of the Syndicated Analyst is to work on the pipeline of syndicated analytic and reporting project requests. This analyst will work closely with the Syndicated Data Manager to design, develop and maintain powerful syndicated reporting for both the marketing and sales teams and will manage the efficiency and accuracy on several recurring and new requests. Responsibilities include but not limited to: preparing market measure reports, validating data, identifying and presenting insights, while bringing a fresh perspective to interpreting data. Candidate must be eager to learn, have strong technical skills, keen attention to detail and be an independent thinker.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage syndicated reporting and tools:
    • Refresh centralized recurring Circana and other syndicated reporting with each monthly update
    • Develop and implement monthly scorecards (new item tracking, pricing, distribution, and post-promotion analyses).
    • Administrate syndicated database IDs and access maintenance
    • Support Syndicated Data Manager with ad hoc training on syndicated tools, reports, and resources
    • Provide support for ad hoc syndicated data pulls as needed
  • Efficiently pull and export data, analyze the results, and deliver in the requested format, typically Excel or PowerPoint
  • Integrate data from multiple resources (Internal, Circana POS/Consumer HH Panel/Shopper Sights, Nielsen, Numerator, and other data sources) to develop actionable insights and recommendations
  • Share best practices, insights and learnings within DFWS Commercial Insights Team
  • Autonomously manage a queue of project requests, recurring reporting, overlapping deadlines, and shifting project scopes. Ensuring all requests are delivered on-time and accurately
  • Derive insights that help frame up and add value to DFWS
  • Proprietary research as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing/Marketing Research, Analytics, or other analytic related fields
  • 1-3 years' experience in market research, analytics, category management, or equivalent desired; Bev Al and syndicated data experience a plus
  • Excellent analytical acumen with ability to analyze data and facts to generate actionable insights and then translate into relevant strategies and initiatives
  • Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Proficiency in Excel required
  • Experience with syndicated data, databases, and large data set preferred; VBA & SQL a plus
  • Outgoing personality and the ability to function as a team player and project leader
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and willingness to operate with limited direction
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time
