The Systems Administrator I will assist the Infrastructure and Help Desk teams with installation, configuration and maintenance of systems and equipment. The Systems Administrator I will support shipmates' technology issues in a Tier 1 and Tier 2 capacity. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Experience with Office365 user and tenant management, including OneDrive and SharePoint
- Experience with server and desktop administration both on-premises and cloud
- Familiar with Windows Infrastructure including DNS, DHCP and Active Directory
- Networking experience including WiFi, VPN and SD-WAN
- Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning, Testing and Recovery
- Provide tier 1 and 2 escalation support for Help Desk tickets as needed
- Additional job duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or technical equivalent experience required
- 1-2 years' experience managing critical IT systems including configuring and updating:
- Office 365 Suite: Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD, Teams
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, XenApp, XenDesktop
- Meraki networking including new wireless networks and devices
- Windows Server 2016+: DNS, DHCP, KMS, Active Directory, Group Policies, IIS, Server 2016
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills with active-listening skills.
- Proven adaptability to shifting project schedules, priorities and assignments; able to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated problem-solver with the ability to cope under pressure and coordinate multiple activities in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees, vendors and partners.
- Excellent written and documentation skills including proof reading and attention to detail.
- Self-driven, motivated IT professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Highly collaborative, accountable and results driven
Grooming:
- All crew members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available in the Employee Handbook).
Physical Demands:
- Ability to bend, rotate and reach frequently
- Ascending/descending stairs or ladders safely
- Ability to maneuver through/in/around small and/or confined areas within the vessel
- Must be able to maintain both static and dynamic standing balance to complete various duties associated with job
- Must be capable of performing emergency duties as listed in the vessel's station bill
Work Environment:
- Office environment, stairs available. Work is administrative in nature.
- The majority of work is performed in a Marine environment in both indoor and outdoor conditions with exposure to various temperatures and weather conditions, along with a moderate to loud noise level.
