This is a NIGHTS only position, 7 pm - 5 am, Monday - Thursday, with other shifts required if coworkers call-out, for example. The System Administrator - Shift (SA-S) Skill Level 1 - 32347 will join a team of similar individuals who work alongside the government on a 24x7 desk to support field sites. Certifications accepted include Microsoft Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation; Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP); CompTIA Linux+; Linux Professional Institute (LPIC) level 1 or higher; Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification; or any such equivalent approved by CORT. Contractor must obtain certification within 180 days of being accepted on contract. Capabilities
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- Provide support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, etc.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph
- Five (5) years' experience as an SA on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
