- Quickly learns and adapts to new systems, leveraging knowledge to improve processes and troubleshoot issues.
- Engages with customers to understand their issues and takes appropriate actions to resolve them promptly.
- Monitors system performance and capacity and tracks performance trends. Proficient in analyzing system logs to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Creates, updates, and maintains comprehensive knowledge base documentation.
- Actively participates in meetings, providing expert feedback and remaining fully engaged.
- Clearly presents issues and offers multiple solutions for management consideration when necessary.
- Provides second and third tier support to end user departments.
- Configures and implements solutions in software such as ServiceNow, OnBase, Lawson, Workday, Everbridge or Quickbase systems.
- Works closely with vendors and end users to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during or after system deployment, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Coordinates with vendors to schedule and manage software updates, patches, and maintenance activities, ensuring that they are performed with minimal impact on system availability.
- Works with vendors to customize and integrate third-party solutions with existing systems, ensuring seamless interoperability, and meeting specific business needs.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key vendors, acting as the primary point of contact to facilitate ongoing collaboration and address any concerns.
- Collaborates effectively with end users at all levels in the organization, database administrators, developers, network engineers, project managers, business analysts, and security teams to ensure seamless system integration, maintain optimal performance, and address any business requirements, technical challenges or security concerns.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
- On-Call 24/7 for IT support issues.
- As a designated essential employee, you may be required to work non-scheduled hours and/or weekends.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 5 years of directly related experience, OR High School/GED and 9 years of relevant professional experience.
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to design, install, manage and monitor complex applications and software. Knowledge of system administration.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees and elected officials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effectively manages time and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines and organizational goals.
- Prefer certifications and experience with one or more systems such as ServiceNow, OnBase, Lawson, Workday, Quickbase, or Everbridge.
- Requires successful CJIS background check prior to hire date.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with qualifications
