Job Summary We currently have an exciting opportunity to join Huntington as a System Administrator. Systems Administrator reports to the Manager of Infrastructure Services to ensure that the operation of the network is stable and all systems are running. Responsibilities:

  • Administers corporate IT systems using technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, AD Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft server 2008 - 2019 operating systems, Microsoft Server Clustering, Symantec Anti-Virus, Microsoft SCCM 2012, Backup Exec, Dell SAN, Dell Servers, Cisco firepower, Dell switches and routers, Office 365 Email, Microsoft Teams VOIP phone systems such as Vonage
  • Acts as a Level 2 and 3 escalation support including day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution for all computer, network, application, printing, and phone service requests
  • Deploys equipment for onboarding and off-boarding employees as well as onboarding of Franchise Centers by purchasing, configuring hardwaresoftware, set up accounts and resources such as but not limited to computers, monitors, printers, scanners, firewalls, wireless access points, phones, headsets, etc...
  • Implements software upgrades, Windows server and desktop patching operating systems, and other enhancements as required using Microsoft SCCM 2012 and or WSUS
  • Experience upgrading firmware revisions on core systems such as servers, storage area networks, firewalls, switches, and routers Knowledge of Desktop imaging using Ghost and other related technologies•
  • Monitors and proactively remediates all errors and exceptions picked up by infrastructure monitoring systems using a daily checklist. Ensures all issues are proactively addressed before they evolve into business interruption events.
  • Authors new and/or update existing documentation on servers & procedures to maintain accuracy
  • Ensures all corporate systems are backed up using Backup Exec, Virtual and Physical Tape Libraries such as Cybernetics
  • Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems
  • Tests evaluate and recommend selections for network, server, and desktop components•
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with end-users, vendors, and managers
  • Maintains inventory and asset management data for IT hardware, software, and equipment
  • Stays abreast of the latest technology, monitors emerging technology developments, and identifies those which may be appropriate.
  • Technical support on-call rotation
  • Some experience with Microsoft Azure is a Plus
Technical and Professional Requirements/Certifications
  • Five years experience with Windows Server /2003/2008 support including Active Directory
  • Five years experience with Microsoft Exchange /2003/2007/2010
  • Five years experience in a TCP/IP (IPv4) networking environment (WAN/LAN) including WIFI
  • Experience with Virtualization technologies, preferably EMC Vmware
  • Experience with Dell servers, R and PE series, or similar x86/x64 architecture, RAID arrays, and configurations
  • Experience with EMC Claiiron SAN storage or similar SAN / NAS architecture
  • Experience with Cisco hardware (ASA5500 series firewalls, PIX 501firewalls, routers, 3200, 2200, and 1800 series)
  • Experience with Security and VPN technologies, including EMC RSA Secure Token, IPsec, SSL, telecommute, and tunneling
  • Experience / familiar with enterprise applications (Symantec Backup Exec, Endpoint Protection, Microsoft Project, SharePoint)
  • Strong ability to quickly analyze, isolate and fix problems with network related issues
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot switching and routing issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent work ethics
  • Strong commitment to the team and the organization's success
  • Ability to articulate to peers, development staff, and management
  • Ability to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Solid core value performance
  • Experience with Dell hardware (laptops, desktops, printers)
  • Experience with call center support is a big plus
