Omaha Steaks is looking for an experienced Microsoft expert to drive infrastructure strategy and delivery. As a member of the Service Delivery team, we are responsible for engineering, deploying, and supporting comprehensive solutions. We are responsible for identifying opportunities that automate tasks, develop time saving processes while being proactive, and constantly improving the Omaha Steaks experience for internal and external customers.
Essential job duties include but are not limited to:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Researches, installs, tests and maintains IT infrastructure related software and hardware
- Responsible for system security to include OS, server and application patching, reporting and troubleshooting
- Responsible for maximum uptime and minimum unscheduled interruption of systems, services and applications
- Responsible for data integrity and back up/restore procedures for all systems and applications
- Responsible for keeping documentation updated. Also responsible for complete change management documentation on all system components
- Responsible for the setup and configuration of new hardware and software. Assist in the deployment of IT assets and ensure proper integration with existing systems
- Responsible for establishing vendor contracts for hardware/software services
- Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Windows Operating Systems understanding.
- Basic Networking concepts awareness
- Basic server hardware/software component knowledge
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills for interacting with users and team members
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work independently and interface with all levels of management and the outside vendors
- Excellent analytical ability will play key role in the growth of an organization
- Ability to troubleshoot operating systems or software issues with speed and accuracy
