Currency Exchange International is looking for a proactive, results-driven, and organized professional to the join the team as a System Administrator at our office in Louisville, Kentucky!

Description: The Systems Administrator will primarily focus on Windows, Active Directory, Entra ID, VMWare, and Network Administration as well as be the primary technical point of contact for the rest of the IT Infrastructure team for this new location. Networking, on-premise virtual infrastructure management, cloud resource management, and site reliability engineering experience are also encouraged.

Essential Functions:

  • Use developed Windows desktop OS device imaging and onboarding tools for provisioning and deploying end user workstations for employees at local office and elsewhere.
  • Maintain and improve a Windows desktop and server OS and 3rd party software patch management infrastructure.
  • Maintain and improve Microsoft 365s offered capabilities to a hybrid userbase, including, but not limited to Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, Entra Connect, Exchange Online, O365, SSO, and Conditional Access.
  • Manage a geographically distributed, hybrid workforce, including administering VoIP and teleconference platforms for the sake of enabling a remote workforce.
  • Manage a hybrid-synced Active Directory domain/forest, IE, user, device, and group creation, deletion, changes, etc.
  • Diagnose, upgrade, and repair server, network, and other appliance hardware.
  • Monitor, respond to, and administer server, network, and application performance/availability issues derived from SNMP, WMI, Netflow, etc.
  • Update and maintain asset inventory and endpoint management toolsets.
  • Capable of applying network, server, and application security principles, to new and existing systems.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell (or other scripting languages) to create scripts for performing frequently executed tasks, workflows, and/or reports.
  • Plan, install, and configure local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), DMZs, and network segments and servers, such as file servers, DNS servers, VPN gateways, WiFi access points and networks, and IDS/IPS (Cisco and Palo Alto GUI and/or CLI experience is a plus).
  • Managing VMWare ESXi virtualized environments.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coordinate with other subject matter experts with regards to solving technical and operational issues.
  • Produce and curate network, data flow, process, and procedure documentation.
  • Administer, support, and troubleshoot network security camera systems.
  • Use, operate, and improve a ticketing system thats used by internal stakeholders to report issues and track long term projects, acting as an escalation point for members of the Helpdesk team.
  • Availability for planned work outside of normal business hours over nights and weekends.
  • Availability for unplanned, on-call work in case of emergencies, outages, etc.
  • Availability for planned travel to headquarters locations.
  • Ability to document new and existing processes according to existing and recommended standards.
  • Offer technical support and training for staff.
  • Lead process improvements and modifications.
  • Comfortable as a lead technical support contact for a newly onboarded site.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in an IT-related field and 1-3 years of professional administration experience, or 3 years of professional administration experience
  • Self-motivated and able to work in at team environment
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to organize work with multiple concurrent projects
  • Must be local to Louisville, Kentucky and able to commute to the office, as this is an onsite role.
  • Required to stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing failover WAN scenarios in a multi-WAN environment.
  • Experience designing and implementing Windows desktop OS device provisioning and deployment, whether through on-premises or cloud-hosted toolsets.
  • Experience administering compute and network resources on cloud hosting platforms, like AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  • Experience managing and configuring Linux server operating system environments.
  • Experience applying industry standard security benchmarks either through Group Policy, Intune, or other configuration management tooling.
  • Experience maintaining and improving the usage of Intune for managing devices, whether company owned or BYOD, including AutoPilot, Configuration Profiles, Compliance Policies, etc.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time onsite position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
