Job Description:

Chitra is looking for a System Administrator to support a DoD contract position at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA.

Position Requirements:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Shall possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science Information Systems Management or Computer Science Application Management or related field; OR shall possess a minimum of two (2) years' experience with computer network and application software installation, trouble shooting, networking operations, and maintenance.
  • Will perform Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II /Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I functions/tasks and shall obtain and maintain baseline certifications commensurate with the applicable designation as identified in DOD 8570.01-M.
  • Shall possess and maintain the following certifications:
  • CompTIA Security+ Continuing Education (CE) Certification
  • CompTIA A+ CE Certification
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Certification in Windows 8/10 and Linux Plus or current certification.
  • Shall possess the minimum experience in at least two (2) of the following:
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in classified and unclassified computer hardware and software diagnostic procedures.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in configuring and customizing classified and unclassified desktop and laptop computer systems, optimizing internal memory use, resolving hardware/software interrupt conflicts, and installing device drivers in a networked computer environment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in computer diagnostic, file defragmentation, file backup, file recovery, and LAN management procedures used in fault isolation of hardware and software.
  • Shall possess one (1) of the following certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified System Administrator or current certification; OR
  • CompTIA Linux+ Certification

Position Responsibilities:

  • Shall install and configure application software for classified and unclassified desktop and laptop computer systems including peripheral equipment. The Contractor shall plan, coordinate, and provide operational maintenance for software loading and upgrades for MS Office applications and Windows Server 2016, UNIX, and LINUX or later software. The Contractor shall determine cost effective equipment techniques and sources used in support of PC computers (Windows Server 2016, SUN Solaris™, UNIX, and LINUX or later based computer platforms). The Contractor shall analyze and isolate classified and unclassified computer/network hardware problems. The Contractor shall install, test, modify, upgrade, and troubleshoot classified and unclassified computers and peripherals connected in a networking environment. The Contractor shall assist in establishing standard configuration environment files for the different multi-vendor computer platforms networked together.
  • Shall provide technical assistance to BLCSE users consisting of hardware troubleshooting, software troubleshooting, and the instruction of users on the proper use of systems. The Contractor shall conduct daily and monthly software patches and updates to ensure information assurance compliance requirements on Windows and UNIX/LINUX based operating systems. Additionally, the Contractor shall maintain a library of all hardware configuration software loads and appropriate documentation for the system/server administrators for deployment.
  • Shall support the operation of the BLCSE to include, permanent conference, training, and experimentation facilities. The Contractor shall coordinate and manage various events hosted by the SBL and other directorates and agencies in the facilities. The Contractor shall oversee administration, safety, automation and information operations, and logistics and technical support. The Contractor shall operate and maintain graphics productions capabilities utilized in the facility.
  • Shall provide technical support to support the development and management of the SCDID Science and Technology (S&T) Program, to include AFC Science and Technology Objective (STO) Reviews, Warfighter Technical Councils, workshops and other industry visits/research.
