This includes planned and emergency maintenance, performance and security analysis, and monitoring, tuning, and implementation of new products and procedures. Installs systems running emerging technology and makes recommendations for increased server and network services and capabilities. Essential Functions
- Install and repair microcomputer hardware, peripherals, network hardware and infrastructure, power backup/conditioning/protection (UPS) equipment and data center monitoring equipment;
- Install network and computer hardware. This includes microcomputer hardware, peripherals, servers, switches, routers, UPS, FPS, etc.;
- Install and repair servers, LANS and WANS;
- Install and maintain software including operating systems, databases, network servers and network applications;
- Install enterprise software such as Active Directory, email, data backup, antivirus, anti-spyware, networks, accounts, LYNC and Share Point;
- Install and assist with other technical resources as needed: photocopiers, fax machines, printers, shredders, audio/visual equipment, smart phones and tablets;
- Provide training as needed in the use of networks, network applications, computer applications and computer systems;
- Develop and maintain systems documentation for installed networks and systems.
Qualifications Completion of a bachelor degree in computer science or a related field with an additional one to three years of direct experience within the area of listed essential functions or any combination of relevant experience which provides the following: Training or certifications may be substituted for experience if applicable to listed essential functions.
