Job Description ASRC Federal, Mission Solutionsis a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration, and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are currently seeking a highly motivated System Administrator in Moorestown, New Jersey. Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance in projects, documenting outcomes and observations for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrable track record of automating routine tasks with solutions such as Ansible and Terraform to decrease user wait times.
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure solutions; evaluate current deployments, support expansions, and ensure that all solutions are highly scalable and vendor agnostic.
  • Identify and providing solutions that will increase the efficiencies of the overall infrastructure.
  • Contribute to and manage the entirety of the virtual infrastructure; must be able review the current designs, identify areas for improvement or future enhancements and work with the teams to implement changes according to CAB.
  • Experience with enterprise storage including designs, implementations, expansions, and migrations.
  • Proven technical abilities in deploying enterprise backup solutions across multiple programs that require various levels of RTO's and RPO's, implement the required design and routinely review and validate the solution.
  • Assist in vendor management and assist in building quotes and renewals.
  • Perform hands on technical leadership with multiple versions of Linux including various versions of RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, etc.
  • Provide support as required for addressing escalated trouble tickets for troubleshooting software, hardware, and networking issues.
  • Perform system maintenance and software installations in a Linux environment.
  • Install and maintain monthly security patches as required.
  • Develop and maintain thorough documentation of installation, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and change direction as needed to meet customer needs.
  • Be proactive in supporting management on technology direction, process development and implementation
  • Perform daily system operations and maintenance (Linux environment)
  • Monitor health and performance of labs; Support users in using the labs including setup of test environments when requested; adhere to IT policies and procedures; coordinate support of customer environments with appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs); support migration of projects from non-production to production
  • Generate operational processes for lab usage and support; identify opportunities for improvement including the areas of operational processes, tools (e.g., load testing) and automation (e.g., automated testing, scripting)
  • Contribute to the formulation of a vision and roadmap for the non-production environments and support implementation
  • Installation and configuration of AFMS products within the AFMS lab environments (both on-premises and cloud) and customer sites
Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Management or related discipline, or equivalent related work experience and 2-5 years of related experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance
  • Experience with various server types (web, file, license, application, etc.)
  • Experience with scripting (Bash,Python, PERL, etc)
  • Experience with RHEL-based Linux distributions
  • Experience with automation (Ansible preferred, Terraform a plus)
  • Experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere v6.5 or newer.
  • Experience with Containers (Docker, Kubernetes) a plus
  • Knowledge of networking and TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of patch management.
  • Must have the ability to
