System Administrator – Managed Service Provider (MSP)

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced IT professional with a strong background in system administration and client-focused IT solutions? Join a respected Managed Service Provider that has been delivering exceptional technology services to New York businesses for years. We are looking for a System Engineer to provide advanced technical support and play a key role in project implementation.

About the Role

As a System Administrator, you'll be a critical part of our team, resolving complex technical issues, configuring systems, and assisting with IT projects like cloud migrations and network deployments. You'll work both onsite and remotely to ensure our clients' IT environments run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2+ technical support for servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365, Azure, and other cloud platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Configure and maintain network devices, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
  • Assist with IT projects such as migrations, upgrades, and virtualization.
  • Maintain and document IT environments to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while effectively communicating with clients and team members.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience working in an MSP environment (required).
  • 5+ years of professional IT experience, with a focus on system administration and technical support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
  • Strong networking skills, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
