System Administrator (Junior) to work in our
Morgantown, WV office.
Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.Job Description: ECS is seeking a qualified Systems Administrator (Junior) to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy. In this position you will assist with the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. You will also assist with the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning, and provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
Required Skills: - Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor's Degree
OR
- Associate's Degree AND two years of related work experience
OR
- Four years of related work experience
- Must currently live in Morgantown, WV or willing to relocate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 2 to 3 years' experience as a junior systems administrator
- Experience with cloud-based systems and tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, SSO, etc.)
- Experience with VMWare (vCenter and View)
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- Knowledge of basic network principles and functions (e.g., DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft folder, file, and sharing security
- Experience installing and configuring Windows Server operating systems
- Experience administering and maintaining user accounts within a Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience troubleshooting Windows Server issues and network connectivity issues
- Experience troubleshooting Windows applications and application deployments
- Strong written, oral, and telephone communication skills
- Excellent technical writing skills; responsible for fully documenting problem resolutions for Tier 1 / 2 technicians
- Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Management
- Experience with Windows Autopilot
- Device Management to include laptops, desktop and mobile devices
- Experience with Full Disk Encryption solution
- Windows Defender ATP skills
- Provide technical guidance for the implementation of endpoint protection tools
Desired Skills: - Two or more years experience supporting US Government customers
- Project Management Professional certification
- Experience supporting complex government and programs of a research and development nature
