Description This position is responsible for maintaining, upgrading and managing software, hardware and networks. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. This person should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly, with a willingness to work on any technology issue, including plant equipment. Patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users is key. The primary goal for this position will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. Essential Functions
- 1+ years of M365 experience
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Perform second level Help Desk work ensuring users get prompt and expert service
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements / Qualifications
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- SQL and C++ experience are preferred
- SQL Server Reporting Experience
- Experience administering programs (SolidWorks, ERP Systems, Document Management Systems, EPDM)
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
- Must be able to speak/read/write English effectively
