In this fast-paced, real-world environment, you'll draw on all your education and experience as well as the resources of Lockheed Martin to keep the threats at bay.Who we are:Our team is solving the tough challenges and pushing the boundaries of technology to help our customer achieve its mission.The Work:As a Systems Administrator Staff, you will:Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systemsProvide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systemsProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problemsProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customersOptimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planningProvide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systemsProvide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated ticketBasic Qualifications:Current DoD Top Secret SCI with Polygraph.- Nine (9) years experience as a Systems Administrator.- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university- Four (4) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.- Three (3) years experience in one or more of the following areas:TCP/IP, networks; computer configuration skills; remote manipulation of systems, remote monitoring and administrationSun Solaris, HP-Unix, Linux, VMS, and Windows operating systems to include shell scripting and XMLNetworking equipment and router operationsSmart data tagging; virtual computing; thin client applications.Desired Skills:Three (3) years experience in Linux system administration using shell scripting- Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly SPAbility to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
